Founded in 2025 after a month retirement I decided to buy a bakery. I’m Michael Hall, many know me as one of Owner of General Rental Center located in Zelienople, a equipment and party rental store, “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it”

I officially retired from General Rental Center after 27 years in February. I took 1 month off to enjoy retirement and didn’t like it. I love being around people and working with the public and saw an opportunity to keep that going.

I have always said I will retire in the food business and here I am. I worked in the food industry many years ago and help run The Sandwich Shop in the Northgate Plaza over 30 years ago.  I’m excited for this next adventure of The Munching Moose.

The name came from a long time friend who called me “Moose” and after some brain storming with my daughter and the previous owners of the bakery we came up with, The Munching Moose. This is a family friendly bakery offering everything from cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls, pepperoni rolls and sips into Boba tea, slushies, smoothies and more.
